JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Caring for a young man in his own home.
• The environment is clean and tidy with a few extras to make his care more comfortable.
• The home has a wet bathroom and a ceiling-suspended Hoyer.
• The individual lives with his mother who is an amazing support and will participate in care as needed.
• You will have the assistance of an aide for all care and tasks.
• Basics of the position include tracheotomy care and deep suctioning, knowledge and experience using a cough assist, bowel program with stim, suprapubic catheter care, taking vitals, using a nebulizer, using a ceiling-suspended Hoyer, all personal care tasks (showing, nail care, hair care, beard care, etc.), range of motion stretches, dressing and undressing, using a powered wheelchair, AFO and body braces, and caring for individuals with spinal cord injuries.
• Additional requirements include a driver's license and reliable vehicle, licensure in good standing, confidence in your abilities and training, ability to work with little oversight, and a sense of humor and love of good music.
