RN/LPN – All Shifts

About the role

Avenues Recovery Center on the Eastern Shore is now hiring compassionate and dependable Nurses (RN/LPN) to join their team in Cambridge, MD. The role involves providing quality medical care, coordinating pharmacy and prescription needs, collaborating with other teams, maintaining meticulous medical documentation, and providing patient education.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality medical care for each client throughout admission, treatment and discharge
• Cookbook all pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and keep clear med logs
• Collaborate with extended medical, clinical and UR teams to ensure total coordination of care
• Maintain meticulous medical documentation, tracking and reporting for each client
• Provide patient education in individual and group settings

Requirements

• Minimum one year diploma program post-high school
• Current RN or LPN licensure necessary to practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented, efficient worker with ability to multitask
• Compassionate, dignified character which models recovery principles

Qualifications

At Avenues, nurses play a vital role in helping individuals begin recovery in a safe, supportive, and highly structured medical environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health, detox, med-surg, corrections, LTC, or similar fields, or be eager to gain such experience.
