About the role
Join our not-for-profit organization with over 100 years of providing housing and services to seniors, committed to quality care and service in a Christian environment. This PRN Registered Nurse (RN) position supports multiple locations within a 75-mile radius of your permanent address.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents.
- Collaborate with residents, families, interdisciplinary colleagues, and providers to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, using appropriate age and population-specific standards.
- Provide care in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Coordinate care, perform resident assessments, provide resident education, and execute various nursing interventions.
- Serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel, ensuring safe and reliable care.
- Provide support to delegates to ensure resolution of care and service concerns.
- Function within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure.
Requirements
- 3 months of experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred).
- Minimum of 30 hours per month, including one weekend shift per month.
- Travel required to support multiple locations within a 75-mile radius of permanent address.
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA).
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practicing, or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
- Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
Pay
Salary range: $32.00 - $48.00 per hour.
- $15/hour premium on all hours worked.
- $1.25/hour weekend shift differential.
- $1.25/hour evening/night shift differential (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
