Department Details

Travel required to support multiple locations within 75-mile radius of permanent address.

Pay

Salary Range: $32.00 - $48.00 per hour

  • $15/hr premium pay
  • $1.25/hour weekend shift differential
  • $1.25/hour evening/night shift differential (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)

Schedule

PRN (as needed)

  • Minimum of 30 hours per month
  • One weekend shift per month

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents.
  • Collaborate with resident, family, and interdisciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
  • Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge, using appropriate age and population-specific standards.
  • Care for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Coordinate care, perform resident assessments, provide resident education, and execute various other nursing interventions.
  • Serve as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their job descriptions, skills, resident care needs, and competence level.
  • Provide adequate assistance and support to delegates to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolution of care/service concerns.
  • Function within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure.

The Professional Nursing Practice recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements as published by the American Nurses Association as the foundation of nursing care delivery and professional conduct.

Requirements

  • 3 months of experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred).
  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice occurs and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
  • Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
