RN Lactation Consultant PRN

Job Summary

As a Lactation Consultant PRN at Medical City Dallas, you will:

• Design, implement, and evaluate nurse residency and onboarding programs.
• Ensure these programs are evidence-driven, regulatory aligned, and built to strengthen clinical outcomes, support retention, and prepare the next generation of nurses.
• Integrate evidence-based practice, simulation, and quality improvement into curricula to advance clinical performance and measurable patient outcomes.
• Partner with division and facility clinical leaders, CPDE/MCPD, and care teams to align education with patient outcome goals, workforce needs, and long-term development.
• Support operational success through budget participation, resource stewardship, flexible scheduling to meet learning needs, and emergency/command center support when needed.
• Advocate for professional growth by building pathways to certification, mentorship opportunities, and career development for nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• (IBCLC) International Board Certified Lactation Consultant must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date.
• Average degree in Nursing.
• This is an RN position.
