RN - Labor & Delivery

Role Overview: Provides specialized nursing care in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery unit, supporting maternal and neonatal patients through routine and complex cases. Responsibilities: Conducts initial patient assessments, develops and implements individualized care plans, administers medications, monitors fetal well-being, and participates in intrapartum care. Maintains accurate documentation, ensures patient and staff safety, communicates effectively with the healthcare team, and offers patient education tailored to obstetric needs. Supports continuous evaluation and adapts care plans accordingly. Qualifications & Skills: Requires at least 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience, current RN licensure, and certifications in ACLS, NRP, and BLS. Must have a high school diploma or GED, with an associate’s degree preferred. Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, effective communication, teamwork, and a proactive approach to learning are essential. Key Duties: Perform unit-specific responsibilities, implement evidence-based procedures, foster a safe environment, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support patient-centered care in obstetrics.
