RN, IV Therapy - Oncology

Location: One Robert Wood Johnson Place, New Brunswick, NJ 08901

Status: Full-time, hourly. Day shift, 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday, with some weekend and holiday rotation).

Job Overview

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our IV Therapy Department at the New Brunswick campus.

Qualifications

• BSN
• At least 3 years of oncology experience
• Minimum of 2 years of PICC line and IV therapy experience
• Oncology / OCN certification preferred
• PICC line certification required within 90 days from date of hire
• IV therapy certification required within 90 days from date of hire

Certifications and Licenses

• BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Adhere to ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Ensure safety in practice, including reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Understand the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborate with other patient care providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualize the plan of care to address specific patient needs.

Pay

Anticipated hourly wage range: $47.85 – $71.72 per hour for positions in New Jersey. Compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.
