RN Intermediate Care
Wayne Hospital is a Magnet®-designated facility providing exceptional nursing and advanced medical, surgical, emergency, and critical care services. As the only Level III trauma center in the Wayne, Westland, Garden City, Canton, Inkster, and Romulus area—verified by the American College of Surgeons and certified by The Joint Commission—we serve the region with a 99-bed, full-service acute care center. The hospital partners with Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and the CDC to address health and communicable disease concerns and has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report for high performance in congestive heart failure, COPD, kidney failure, and maternal services.
About the role
The clinical nurse utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care, incorporating patient-family centered care principles. Under the direction of the Nurse Leader, the Clinical Nurse delivers quality patient care in accordance with Corewell Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate’s in Nursing required
- Bachelor’s in Nursing required within 5 years
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination
- Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months
- Specialty certification highly recommended within 2 years
- 1 year of experience as an RN in the ICU preferred

Schedule
- Full time, day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- 36 scheduled hours per week
- Works Monday–Friday with every other weekend
