Part-time position with a variable schedule including weekends, holidays, days, and evenings.
About the Role
Provides quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process using evidence-based practice focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience within the framework of Shared Governance.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (required for hires after July 2012). If Associate’s Degree or Diploma, RN must provide proof of enrollment in a BSN program prior to hire, be continuously enrolled, and complete within 5 years of hire date or internal RN promotion date. Associates Degree AND 2 years of experience in the specialty area will be accepted in lieu of BSN.
- One year of Med/Surg experience (required). Previous ICU experience (preferred).
- Current NJ RN licensure and American Heart Association CPR certification (required).
- Certified in ACLS, Critical Care, Vent, and Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation upon hire (required). Stroke training is required within 1 year of hire.
- Certification in specialty (preferred). CCRN is recommended.
Skills
Certified in ACLS, Critical Care, Ventilation, and Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation. Ability to interpret and respond to alarms on equipment, hear client calls, and follow instructions from physicians and co-workers.
Physical Demands
- Work environment includes indoor settings, exposure to body fluids, infectious diseases, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, dust, gas/fumes, and radiation.
- Direct and indirect patient care contact (2/3 or more of the time).
- Physical activities include talking, hearing, standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, squatting, crouching, reaching above shoulder level, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Use of hands for typing, writing, repetitive movement, fine manipulation, simple and firm grasping, twisting, turning, pushing, pulling, and feeling for 3–9+ hours per day.
- Visual abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Pay
Hiring range: $43.50 - $63.25 hourly.
