RN Intensive Care Unit
This is a full-time night position (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) at MacNeal Hospital, located approximately 30 minutes from Downtown Chicago. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) dedicated to providing exceptional care in an organization that focuses on treating the whole person—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
About the Role
The ICU unit has 17 private rooms with physician and resident support available 24/7. Nurses in this role manage a wide range of diagnoses, including MI, DKA, Sepsis, Liver Failure, CVA, and post-surgical vascular procedures. The unit is team-oriented, offering opportunities for skill advancement and career growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Manage a diverse caseload, including complex medical and surgical conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited school/college of nursing (BSN or ADN).
- BLS Provider certification (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire.
- Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire.
- At least 1 year of inpatient acute nursing experience or 1 year of ED nursing experience.

Pay
- BSN Pay Range: $36.05 – $59.92 per hour.
- ADN Pay Range: $32.90 – $57.06 per hour.
Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
