RN Inpatient Rehab

About the Role

As an Acute Rehab RN, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn—whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs and carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.
• Utilize therapeutic communication in daily practice and maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
• Identify nursing problems related to individual patient needs and plan care using an interdisciplinary approach.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Provide care that aligns with the hospital’s mission and vision statement.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure with the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• One year of clinical nursing experience preferred.
