The Med Surg 3rd floor Inpatient unit is a fast-paced, 27-bed medical-surgical unit offering rewarding nursing opportunities at a Magnet-designated hospital with state-of-the-art technology and equipment. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will:

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment that values teamwork, respect, and diversity.
  • Care for general care and select IMC patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses.
  • Work in a team-oriented setting with advanced technology, evidence-based practice, and strong interdisciplinary support.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice changes.
  • Collaborate in developing, executing, and evaluating multidisciplinary care plans.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wisconsin or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Six (6) months of inpatient nursing experience or current participation in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.
  • Relevant RN experience preferred.
  • Relevant certification preferred.
