About the role

The Infusion Clinic at Moffitt at International Plaza (MIP) is seeking Registered Nurses to join our team. The clinic cares for 150 patients daily and offers a wide range of services including chemotherapy, intravenous medications, blood transfusions, and more.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies, and ANA code of ethics.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families.
• Identify, document, and provide patient education based on learning needs of the patient.
• Participate in evidence-based improvement activities related to area of practice.
• Participate in professional development based on the nursing professional standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least one year of relevant experience, or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with one year of relevant experience.
• Florida RN License.
• BLS Certification.
• No National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) reports, unless the applicant has successfully appealed to have their name removed from the NPDB.

Qualifications

• Chemo Blood Platelets Administering IV fluids, IV antibiotics, bladder treatments, IP treatments, and hormonal therapy injections.
• Accessing ports and changing central line dressings.
• Chemotherapy Certification.

Skills

Registered Nurses at the Infusion Center at MIP are expected to possess strong time management and multitasking abilities, as they perform multiple treatments in various clinics daily.
