Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process to provide professional nursing care under the ANA scope of practice, incorporating patient-family centered care principles.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to access and implement the treatment plan for patients.
- Affords clinical judgment skills to assess, monitor, detect, plan, and take appropriate actions to prevent physiological complications associated with specific health problems and/or medical treatment.
Qualifications
- Required: Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing with an associate’s degree from an ACEN accredited diploma program.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (B.S.N.), Master's Degree in Nursing (M.S.N.), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or PhD.
- Required: One year of relevant experience in acute care, emergency, or intensive care nursing.
- State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Driver’s License from the State of Michigan.
- Upon hire, required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC).
- Adult Infusion 1 Year certification from either the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) or the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
