About the role
Per diem hospital care position in Halifax, VA, specializing in ICU or Telemetry.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality patient care in an acute-care setting.
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and operate specialized equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and adhere to hospital policies.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability within the hospital environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Active Virginia Registered Nurse license.
- At least one year of recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
- Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (within 12 months).
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
- Additional credentials may be required based on specific assignments.
Schedule & Compensation
