RN ICU (Days) Full Time
About the Role
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care for the assigned patients in the 12-bed ICU unit at Mercy Pittsburg. This mixed-population critical care department serves a multitude of patient populations, offering a dynamic nursing landscape that fosters growth in both knowledge and skill set. Maintains professional accountability for patient care, evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers, and coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Ensures patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and service standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care utilizing the nursing process.
- Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
- Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
- Uphold patient rights and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications
- Nursing Degree from an accredited school (Required).
- Current RN license in the state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed; must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
- Preferred experience in a Critical Care setting.
