This unit is a 6-bed ICU that may also care for Med Surg patients. Stroke Certified. We treat our patients as our own family. Accountability, honesty, compassion, and courage are core values. The team prides itself on collaboration, safe personal care, and a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio on both day and night shifts.

Responsibilities
- Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as defined by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the State of Michigan.
- Demonstrates competency through the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Upholds ANA standards of professional performance, including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.
- Strives to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Associate’s in Nursing (Required)
- Bachelor’s in Nursing (Required within 5 years of hire)
- Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license (Required)
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required within 90 days)
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (Required within 6 months)

Schedule
- Full-time, night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 scheduled hours per week
- Rotating 3-week schedule
- Every third weekend worked
Primary work location: Intensive Care Unit, 2nd Floor, Pennock Hospital, 1009 W Green St, Hastings.
