About the role

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department requirements and nursing scope and standards. In collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, supporting the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, patient status, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures, translating complex medical terminology for complete understanding.
  • Educate patients and families on non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
  • Prepare patients and families for future self-management.
  • Manage evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures and enhance patient care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery.

Requirements

  • RN experience in ICU; may consider recent Stepdown, PCU, or Telemetry experience with a minimum of 6 months.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or a multi-state license.

Schedule

Full-time nights: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with rotating weekends and holidays.
