About the role

Responsibilities
- Provides direct care for inpatient mother-baby couplets and neonates.
- Develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and revises preparation for childbirth, newborn care, sibling preparation, postpartum, and breastfeeding classes for expectant and new parents.
- Develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and revises preceptorships, in-service programs, workshops, and continuing education classes on topics related to breastfeeding management for nursing staff, medical staff, and students of health care-related fields (RN, ARNP, CNM, MD, RD, etc.) as well as staff education materials.
- Assists in the management of the breast pump rental station.
- Manages work flow in the perinatal education department.

Qualifications
- Mastery of lactation knowledge in practical applications of a difficult nature.
- Experience in managing the breast pump rental station.
- Experience in managing work flow in the perinatal education department.
