Requirements
- Current CA RN license
- Cardiac experience
- Minimum 2 years recent Level 4 NICU experience (or Level 3 RN with strong surgical experience from a Level 3 NICU that performs surgeries on newborns – must mention in submittal)
- Will consider strong first‑time traveler
- BLS and Advanced NRP certification
- Willing to float between PICU & CVICU and NICU satellite campuses (Rancho Springs, Palomar, Scripps Encinitas, Scripps La Jolla, Scripps Mercy)
- Must have own transportation
- Flu shot required during flu season
Skills
- Experience with oscillator, conventional ventilator, CPAP, nasal cannula, specialty gases
- PICC lines, Broviacs, UAC/UVC/PAL lines
- Tracheostomies, ostomies, and G‑tubes
- Comfortable performing line changes with multiple drips, pre‑ and post‑operative care
