RN - Hospice - Weekend (Exempt)

Find your calling at Mercy! The Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled nursing care to terminally ill patients in their homes, following physician prescriptions and nursing standards. Position Details RN - Hospice Full-Time - Weekends Responsibilities Include Assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans.Administering medications and treatments.Monitoring patient condition and communicating with interdisciplinary teams.Providing emotional support and education to patients and families. Qualifications Graduation from an approved nursing program.Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing.Valid driver’s license and CPR certification. Preferred Skills & Experience Recent hospice or long-term care experience.Knowledge of death/dying, pain management, and bereavement issues.One year of general nursing experience preferred. Skills & Abilities Adherence to professional standards and hospice philosophy.Strong observation, assessment, and communication skills.Excellent computer documentation skills.Self-directed, flexible, and team-oriented. Physical Requirements Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly.Prolonged standing and walking.Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and squat.
