Hospice RN - Weekend

About the role

Hospice Registered Nurse (Per Diem - Weekend) position focused on delivering compassionate care with dignity, emphasizing strength and personalized attention. Background checks and a drug‑free workplace policy are in place.

Responsibilities

• Applying nursing theories and concepts to patient care.
• Documenting care in accordance with reimbursement guidelines.
• Coordinating physical care with patients, families, physicians, and the hospice team.
• Communicating effectively with patients, families, and agency personnel.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings and quality reviews.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Completion of an approved nursing program with at least two years of clinical experience; hospice experience preferred.
• Knowledge of home health and hospice care frameworks, policies, and reimbursement guidelines.
• Annual continuing education (12 hours).
• CPR certification.
• Willingness to travel and participate in weekend, evening, and holiday call duties.
