About the role
Provide compassionate end-of-life care as a Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for weekend on-call shifts.
Responsibilities
- Apply nursing theories and concepts to patient care.
- Document care in accordance with reimbursement guidelines.
- Coordinate physical care with patients, families, physicians, and the hospice team.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and agency personnel.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality reviews.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an approved nursing program with at least two years of clinical experience; hospice experience preferred.
- Knowledge of home health and hospice care frameworks and the nurse’s role.
- Understanding of nursing practices, policies, procedures, and reimbursement guidelines.
- 12 hours of annual continuing education and CPR certification.
- Ability to travel as needed and participate in weekend, evening, and holiday call duties.
