Wage Range

$48.21 - $87.11 per hour. Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

Per Diem Tiers

EvergreenHealth offers per diem Hospice RNs a tiered system for flexibility and balance. Further information will be provided at time of interview.

  • Tier 1: Work 5 days per month, including 2 weekend days included in the 5-day minimum; 17% hourly premium
  • Tier 2: Work 7 days per month, including 3 weekend days included in the 7-day minimum; availability for 1 holiday annually (paid); 20% hourly premium

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and function as a patient advocate
  • Assess the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients
  • Coordinate the patient and family/significant other education process
  • Continuously plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process
  • Participate with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care
  • Communicate effectively all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor in a timely way
  • Communicate and document changes in patient condition on a timely basis to charge nurse/supervisor and physician
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required)
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire

Qualifications (Desired)

  • Master’s degree in Nursing

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between EvergreenHealth and the Washington State Nurses Association (WSNA). Union membership is optional.
