RN Hospice
Responsibilities
- Complete a two-week orientation focused on hospice care practices, EMR systems, and safety protocols.
- Assess patients with advanced illnesses and create individualized hospice care plans.
- Provide education, emotional support, and guidance to patients and families as they navigate the end-of-life journey.
- Collaborate closely with VNA clinicians and external providers to ensure seamless, compassionate care.
- Document patient status updates and adjust care plans as needs and goals evolve.
Qualifications
- RN with Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Certification in Hospice Palliative Care Nurse and Critical Care
- Nursing skills in Critical Care preferred
- 1+ year of supervised clinical experience as a registered nurse
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong Computer skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions/Physical Demand
- Working indoors/outdoors with clinical equipment and use of phone and computer
- Car and valid NJ Driver’s license required
Pay
The compensation range for this position is USD $43.00 to USD $58.00. When determining an offer, VNA Health Group considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education/training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organizational conditions.
