About the role
Cleveland Clinic Home Care provides skilled nursing, social services and physical, occupational and speech therapy for patients returning home after a hospital stay, outpatient procedures or doctor's visit. Our home care team continues Cleveland Clinic's treatment at home. We provide short term intermittent acute care at home. Our nurses work autonomously meeting patients where they live. This requires strong assessment skills and critical thinking. We provide flexibility to the nurse and the patient when coordinating care within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Educate and follow the patient through a short-term intermittent recovery process.
- Perform lab draws – peripheral sticks or central line draws
- Perform wound care – all types of wounds, measurements, documentation, wound vac experience
- Insert and administer IVs – IV insertion, how to administer IV antibiotics, IV push medications, central line experience
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance coverage with $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident coverage
- One year of current experience as an RN
- One year of experience in an acute Medical/Surgical or Home Care setting
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Familiarity with complex medical treatments
- Experience working in homecare, med/surg, ICU and/or ED areas

Pay
- Minimum Annual Salary: $73,840.00
- Maximum Annual Salary: $115,648.00
Physical Requirements
- Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination
- Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time
- Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range
- Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids
- Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work
- Must be ambulatory and able to drive to patients' homes, able to climb stairs, pull, push, and facilitate movement of the patient
- Must be able to read, write and communicate with patients
