RN - High Risk OB

About the role

Join the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital, a Magnet Hospital awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. As an RN on this team, you will provide comprehensive high-risk obstetric care, including preconception consultation, ultrasonography, advanced fetal imaging, perinatal diagnostics, fetal therapy, prenatal care, and delivery services. You will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient journey, interact directly with patients and their families, and provide healthcare education.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
• If in a Critical Care area, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through AHA Certification must be presented upon hire or within the first year of hire.
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Physical Requirements

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay

Pay Range Minimum hourly: $35.50
Maximum hourly: $55.60

The pay range reflects the anticipated range for new hires. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set, and education. The pay range does not include applicable pay practices such as shift differentials or overtime, nor does it include the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package.

Schedule

A caregiver in this role works a day/night rotation from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m., with weekend and holiday requirements.
