RN - Head Nurse ED

Job Summary The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations within a specific nursing department. Utilizing the nursing process, they ensure safe, high-quality care that respects patient autonomy, dignity, and rights. They provide clinical leadership by guiding nursing staff, maintaining care continuity, and collaborating with leadership to meet hospital goals. Responsibilities Interpret and review diagnostic data relevant to patient conditions.Collaborate with leadership and other disciplines to identify improvement opportunities and implement changes.Guide and intervene during life-threatening situations.Assess intervention effectiveness and patient outcomes.Develop innovative processes to enhance patient care.Participate in clinical leadership activities such as coaching, mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations.Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving healthcare delivery.Coordinate with team members to provide optimal patient care.Support ongoing learning and development.Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar setting or specialty.Computer literacy.RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.Preferred: ACLS certification.
