About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient care and performing nursing services in the Hospital Emergency Department. They will also supervise LPNs and related support nursing staff and report to a supervisory-level nursing position.
Responsibilities
- Identify and care for patients as needed.
- Work as a team player and supervise other nursing personnel.
- Keep neat records and prepare reports in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Show a customer service attitude when interacting with patients and families.
- Use superb organizational skills for supplies and equipment.
- Remain calm and professional in crisis and emergent situations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills for electronic records management systems.
Requirements
- Education: Associate of Nursing (Required)
- Bachelor’s of Nursing (Preferred)
- New York RN License (Required)
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Nursing Experience: 2 years (Preferred)
- Emergency Department Experience (Preferred)
