RN Gynecologic Oncology
This role is based in the Gynecologic Oncology office at Lemmen Holton Cancer Pavilion, a dedicated oncology practice with a team of four surgeons and four advanced practice providers. The team is committed to providing comprehensive care for patients diagnosed with gynecologic cancers, fostering strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues in a supportive environment.
About the role
As a Nurse with Corewell Health, you will collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate and deliver top-notch care for oncology patients throughout their journey—from diagnosis to treatment and ongoing surveillance. Responsibilities include direct patient care in the clinic, triage work, and ensuring patients' needs are promptly addressed. You will provide personalized care, addressing each patient’s unique needs while upholding nursing excellence as defined by the ANA, including the code of ethics.
Responsibilities
- Use critical thinking and the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Coordinate care for oncology patients from initial diagnosis through treatment and surveillance.
- Provide direct patient care in the clinic and perform triage to address patient needs promptly.
- Uphold standards of nursing excellence, including the ANA code of ethics.
- Collaborate with surgeons, advanced practice providers, and the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license (required upon hire).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) (required within 90 days of hire).
- 2 or more years of experience as an RN in oncology (strongly preferred).
