Day Shift, 4 10's, Shift usually starts at 7 am, sometimes 6 am or 8 am.
26wks, 40hrs, 06/22 start date.
About the role
Total Bed Count: 3 procedure rooms
Staffing Ratios: Days: 1 tech, 1 RN, 1 GI Provider, 1 Anesthesia Provider per propofol case
1 tech, 1 RN, 1 GI Provider per conscious sedation case
Nights: 1 RN, 1 Tech, 1 GI Provider - on call only
Weekends: 1 RN, 1 Tech, 1 GI Provider - on call only
Schedule Requirements: Call Required: Yes, 1 weeknight every other week for RN, 1 weeknight every week for Tech
Float Required: No
Weekend Coverage: 1 weekend a month for RN & Tech

Pharmacy: as needed hospital pharmacy, outpatient pharmacy

Unit Secretary: Short Stay unit has a secretary but not GI Provider Coverage
Additional Unit Information: Special Equipment: Fuji scopes, ERBE, Travel Cart, scope buddy, medivator
Special Procedures: ERCP, EUS

Job Requirements
- Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
Acute care facility experience: Preferred - Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
Facility Specific License/Certifications: AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required
Essential Functions
- Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient?s health or situation.
- Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues.
- Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes.
- Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes.
- Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient?s situation.
- Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment.
- Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members.
- Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.
- Participates in discharge planning in order to provide continuity of care.
- Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
