About the role
The nurses on this unit manage a wide range of medical needs, including IV management, IV antibiotics, anticoagulation drug administration, blood administration, wound care, diabetes management, and hypertension management.
Responsibilities
- Organize and provide care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based on their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.
- Contribute to the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, serving the community.
- Maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards and other regulatory or accrediting agencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school or college of nursing.
- Current nursing license in Minnesota.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to obtain certification within one month of hire.
