Qualifications

• Required Associate's Degree or equivalent Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Required Bachelor's Degree B.S.N., or M.S.N, or DNP/PhD - if not minimum BSN prepared, new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within five (5) years, required.
• 2 years of relevant experience
• 2 years related acute care nursing experience.
• Must demonstrate proficiency through competency testing in all nursing areas eligible for floating.
• Required Internal candidates with less than 2 years of clinical experience must be approved by their current nurse leader and the site Chief Nursing Officer.
• The candidates are to remain a unit-based PRN (casual) employee until they reach 2 years of nursing experience.
• Required LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required
• OrCRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
• OrCRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - CANADIAN HEART AND STROKE FOUNDATION Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation Upon Hire required
• CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association Endoscopy (exception for Dearborn, Farmington Hills, Taylor). Upon Hire required
• OrCRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association Radiology, Pre-Op, PACU, Emergency Care, Critical Care 180 Days required

Skills

Required skills include proficiency in all nursing areas eligible for floating, adherence to the MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirements, and compliance with the ANA scope of practice and nursing process.
