RN - Float Pool - Weekends, Nights

About the role

The RN - Float Pool (Registered Nurse Resource Team) is a part‑time (0.6 FTE) weekend‑only night‑shift position (7:00 pm – 7:00 am) based in Chicago, IL. The nurse floats across Swedish Hospital inpatient units, reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager of the Resource Team with dual support from site‑based clinical nurse managers, and is eligible for the Resource Team RN differential and applicable shift differentials.

Responsibilities

• Resource Team Nurses are required to float across Swedish inpatient units.
• Resource Team Nurses report to the Clinical Nurse Manager of the Resource Team, with dual support from the site based clinical nurse managers.
• As an experienced practitioner, the Registered Nurse is accountable for providing high quality, individualized, goal directed care for all levels of patients and their families in accordance with the philosophy of the Division of Nursing.
• Demonstrates a commitment to the mission of Swedish Hospital, exhibits a service orientation and adheres to all responsibilities and standards of the hospital.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnosis, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients and their families.
• Maintains competency reflective of current standards practice.
• Interacts and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
• Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of nursing practice.
