Shift
Day Shift
Responsibilities
- Schedules: 07-1530, 40 hours every 2 weeks
- Every other weekend
- Some holidays
- Provides and directs safe, effective, and culturally-competent care for high-risk pediatric through aging adult patients with actual or potential life-threatening health problems in the intensive care units
- Complex assessments, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care using critical thinking and evidenced-based practice
- Provides high-intensity therapies and interventions with continuous nursing surveillance
- Adherence to the Professional Practice Standards as defined by ANA
- Active participation in quality monitoring and performance improvement activities
Requirements
- Licensure/Registration: Registered Nurse in Iowa; Registered Nurse in Illinois within 1 year
- Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Special Training: ACLS; Basic Life Support
- Preferred: Baccalaureate in Nursing, 2 years experience
- Critical Care/ED/CSU/CU
