RN Float Part Time Nights

About the role

At Saint Alphonsus Health System, we seek individuals passionate about nursing and dedicated to delivering exceptional care. This position requires a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oregon, with a BSN preferred. Essential functions include assessing, planning, and treating patients and families, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the health care team to provide professional nursing care.
• Work in various capacities such as crisis RN staffing, case management support, and discharge planning.
• Ensure the accuracy of documented services and supplies.
• Participate in the Primary Medical Home Model implementation and maintenance.
• Communicate patient status and care plans to other caregivers.
• Administer and evaluate the effectiveness of medications.
• Operate patient care equipment safely.
• Advocate for patient rights and alleviate pain.
• Educate patients based on their needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate a care plan based on patient assessment.
• Practice within the rules and regulations set by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

Requirements

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required at hire, except for those currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in the State of Oregon.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
