About the Role

This nursing position involves providing comprehensive care in various pediatric units such as Nursery, Mother Baby, Postpartum, NICU, and PICU. The nurse independently manages patient care, including assessments, diagnoses, planning, interventions, and evaluations, while delegating tasks appropriately. They address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, administer medications, monitor treatment effectiveness, and document care activities.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to deliver evidence-based patient care and communicate findings effectively.
  • Facilitate patient throughput by planning admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Oversee unit operations, ensure proper use of equipment, and assess staffing needs.
  • Promote a safe environment by adhering to patient safety practices and quality standards.
  • Follow clinical policies, maintain accurate health information documentation, and troubleshoot medical equipment.
  • Process medical orders, interpret patient charts, and ensure accuracy in documentation.
  • Ensure patient safety through vigilant monitoring and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pediatric or perinatal care settings.
  • Current RN license, BLS, NRP, and STABLE certification required.
  • PALS required for Pediatric department roles.
