About the role
The role of Registered Nurse (RN) in Fetal Care involves providing comprehensive care to pregnant women with high-risk pregnancies, focusing on fetal health and maternal well-being. This includes monitoring fetal development, managing complications, and coordinating care with other healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor the health of the fetus and the mother during pregnancy.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding fetal health and management strategies.
- Manage and document patient care, including fetal ultrasounds and other diagnostic tests.
- Participate in team meetings and rounds to discuss patient progress and care needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio.
- Experience in obstetric or neonatal intensive care units preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Completion of a BSN program.
- Passing scores on the NCLEX-RN exam.
Skills
- Knowledge of fetal development and maternal-fetal medicine.
- Proficiency in ultrasound interpretation and fetal monitoring techniques.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and provide emotional support to patients and families.
