About the role

We provide direct patient care in a specialized unit according to established scopes and standards of practice, aligned with the organization's policies, values, and mission.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and utilize resources effectively.
• Maintains continuous monitoring of patients' conditions and communicates these updates appropriately.
• Evaluates the learning needs of patients and families, and provides education tailored to their age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including discharge planning, referrals, and support for spiritual and psychological needs.
• Delegates patient care tasks to support staff as necessary.
• May serve as a preceptor for student nurses and new hires.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of Cardiac IMCU experience or one (1) year of general ICU independent practice experience with hemodynamic monitoring.
• Completion of ECCO Course.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications from either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• Two (2) year commitment as a full-time employee with Memorial Healthcare System.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• Accredited Program: Nursing.
• BLS American Heart E-Card.
• BLS American Heart RQI E-Card.
• BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard.
• BLS Cert Red Cross.
• Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT).
• Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL).
