About the role

We provide direct patient care in the cardiac ICU, which may include transplant patients, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Evaluates learning needs of the patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Delegates patient care tasks to ancillary personnel as appropriate.
• May precept student nurses and new hires.

Requirements

• One (1) year of cardiovascular or intensive care experience required.
• ACLS Certification (non-eCard) from the American Heart Association.
• BLS Cert from the American Heart Association.
• Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) from the State of Florida.

Qualifications

• Accredited Program: Nursing (Required).
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Professional Nursing program.
