RN Faculty Instructor Nursing
About the Role
The Faculty Instructor is a registered nurse who demonstrates expertise in nursing and in teaching nursing. As a member of the Faculty, you will be responsible for the educational preparation of safe, compassionate, caring professional nurses eligible to sit for the State Licensing Examination (NCLEX) following graduation. This instruction includes supervision of adult learners and providing direct patient care to populations across the life span. The Faculty Instructor will support the overall goals of the program and those of HCA Florida Mercy Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Teach and mentor nursing students to prepare them for the NCLEX examination.
- Supervise adult learners in clinical and educational settings.
- Provide direct patient care across the life span.
- Support the mission and goals of HCA Florida Mercy Hospital and its nursing program.
- Engage in collaborative relationships to influence patient care and nursing practices.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment).
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
- No travel required.
