About the role

As an ER Registered Nurse (RN) at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson — part of CommonSpirit Health, a national nonprofit health system based in Englewood, Colorado that operates 103 hospitals across 18 states and offers long‑term care, assisted and residential living, community health services, home health, and numerous outpatient facilities — you will be a pivotal healthcare professional delivering compassionate, high‑quality care that impacts patients’ well‑being and recovery. You will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, make critical assessments, perform skilled procedures, and meticulously implement patient care plans while collaborating within an interdisciplinary team focused on optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements; initiates plan of care
• Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families
• Promotes patient’s independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self‑care skills; answering questions
• Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing division’s philosophies and standards of care
