Location: One Robert Wood Johnson Place, New Brunswick, NJ 08901

Status: Full-time, hourly. Evening shift, 40 hours per week (four 10-hour shifts), with weekend/holiday rotations and intermittent overnight call coverage.

About the role

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Endoscopy department at the New Brunswick campus.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma required; BSN must be completed within 5 years of hire
• At least 3–5 years of RN experience in critical care
• Preferred: 2–3 years of Endoscopy experience
• Preferred certifications: CPAN, CAPA, CGRN, or other national certification
• Pre/Post Anesthesia experience preferred

Requirements

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
• BLS and ACLS certification
• On-call availability during off hours, including potential weekend rotations and intermittent overnight/weekend/holiday call coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards
• Adhere to ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics
• Ensure safety in practice, including reporting hazardous environments and medical errors
• Understand and address the needs of the patient population served
• Supervise and direct delegation of tasks to appropriate team members
• Collaborate with other patient care providers
• Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes
• Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize plans to address specific patient needs

Pay

Anticipated hourly wage range: $47.85 – $71.72 per hour for positions in New Jersey. Final compensation will depend on the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.
