Responsibilities
- Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and/or individual.
- Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs.
- Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revises plan of care based on evaluative data.
- Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
- Operates within a High Reliability Organization (HRO) framework, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency in performing job duties.
Requirements
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or current Registered Nurse license in good standing with a multi-state compact state.
- BSN required at 5 years of employment
- Mobile Intensive Care (MICU) EMS transport provider focused on the timely and efficient care of the out of hospital transport of critical care patients.
- Collaborates with other EMS and/or Nurse providers in compliance with established protocol and regulatory requirements in the provision of support services and patient transports per MICU.
- Maintains compliance with OhioHealth, state and federal requirements and all associated documentation.
- Current State of Ohio Paramedic and/or EMT Certification (EMT-B).
- Pre-Hospital Transport experience as an EMT-B, Paramedic or RN.
- Knowledge in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
- 3 years Critical Care experience;
- 3 years Critical Care EMS transport.
