RN-Emergency Medicine - OMC Baton Rouge ED - Full Time, Days (7A-7P), Work On Weekend program

About the role

We seek a dynamic leader to join our nursing team. You will provide patient care using the nursing process, delegate tasks effectively, and lead the nursing team. Your role involves assessing learning needs, implementing teaching strategies, managing resources, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. You'll also evaluate outcomes and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process in delivering patient care.
• Affirms learning needs and implements appropriate teaching strategies.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources.
• Utilizes data and information to evaluate and promote change.
• Adapts behavior to meet the specific needs of various patient populations.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Current RN license in state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty area.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse diploma.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• No certifications required at hire.

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to demonstrate good judgment.
• Good interpersonal skills.
