Emergency Department Tech - OMC Baton Rouge ER - Full Time, Days (7A-7P)

About the role

We assist the hospital in providing nursing care to patients and performing specialized technical skills under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Our mission is to support the nursing team and hospital administration while adhering to established objectives, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with direct supervision of the registered nurse.
• Perform clinical duties as outlined by departmental competencies.
• Support nursing and hospital administration by accepting established objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Accurately document patient-related tasks.
• Maintain professional knowledge and required certifications through continuous learning and development.
• Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, ensuring respect for privacy, clear communication, and appropriate explanations.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification upon hire.
