Registered Nurse (RN) ER - OMC Baton Rouge Emergency Department - Full Time, Nights (7P-7A)

About the role

We're seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse to lead patient care within our organization. Your role will involve applying the nursing process, delegating tasks effectively, and fostering a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process in delivering patient care
• Affirms learning needs and implements appropriate teaching strategies
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources
• Evaluates and promotes changes to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Adapts to diverse patient populations and maintains high standards of patient care
• Performs other related duties as required

Requirements

• Current RN license in state of practice
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Certified in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)
• Certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Prior experience preferred, but not required

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse diploma
• Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification within 30 days of hire
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire
• Prior certification in clinical specialty area preferred
