RN - Emergency Medicine - Day Shift - Full Time

About the role

We are seeking a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. This role involves effectively delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members, while maintaining accountability for quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Affirms accountability for quality patient outcomes
• Maintains sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions
• Maintains involvement in activities aimed toward achieving unit and departmental strategic goals and objectives
• Demonstrates professional responsibility and accountability for his/her own practice
• Serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team
• Utilizes data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
• Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
• Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification within 30 days of hire
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire
• Certification in a clinical specialty area preferred
