RN - Emergency Department - Full-Time, Night Shift

About the Role

This position involves providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care within a professional and ethical framework, aligned with organizational values of integrity, respect, accountability, and compassion. The RN practices collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, establishing therapeutic relationships and respecting diverse cultural needs.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to deliver competent care.
• Coordinate care transitions and promote health and safety through education and effective communication.
• Adhere to ANA standards of practice and professional performance, demonstrating leadership, ethical practice, cultural competence, collaboration, and quality improvement.
• Engage in evidence-based practice, resource utilization, and environmental health considerations.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current Connecticut RN licensure.
• BCLS certification required within one month of hire.
• Experience is foundational; clinical certification encouraged.
• Strong physical stamina for prolonged standing, lifting, and assisting patients of various weights.
