RN Emergency
About the Role
Southcoast Health is searching for an experienced RN for the Emergency Department at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. This role involves coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching, and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit. RNs have access to new technologies, professional development resources, and an engaged leadership team, and partner with pediatricians from Boston Children's Hospital to provide specialized care in the emergency room and pediatric unit.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate total nursing care for patients under the direction of the Manager, Patient Services or designee
- Participate in patient and family teaching
- Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel
- Maintain standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit
- Provide care appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent
- Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ED RN experience is preferred
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus, or be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Day/Evening shift, 11:00am - 11:30pm
- Weekend and holiday rotation
Pay
USD $42.37 - $77.81 per hour. Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
